Cockroaches will march in Kolkata too! "CJP" emails police seeking permission

Following recent protests in Delhi and Mumbai, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) is seeking to expand its agitation to Kolkata. A youth claiming to be affiliated with the CJP sent an email to the Kolkata Police requesting permission to organize a protest march from College Street to Rani Rashmoni Avenue on July 24. This follows an earlier permission request submitted on July 19, which had been turned down by city authorities.

The development comes amid heightened vigilance after the Union government issued security advisories to states regarding potential nationwide protest outbreaks. High-level security meetings were convened at the Centre to assess state preparedness following demonstrations that began at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, where protesters led by activist Sonam Wangchuk demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over paper leak controversies.

Kolkata Police have initiated an investigation into the matter to verify the identity of the applicant and confirm whether he is officially associated with the CJP. Police officials stated that necessary security measures are being evaluated, while state authorities remain on alert following directives from central agencies.
